WHAT YOU’LL DO
JOB SUMMARY
The Area Associate Director of Sales assists in leading strategic sales initiatives to maximize revenue, mentoring the sales team and fostering key client relationships to ensure the Area’s competitive edge in the market.
DUTIES
• Produce your hotels Annual Multi-Year Commercial Strategy Plan, in partnership with Area Director of Sales, Property Leaders and Regional Support
• Connect the performance needs for the hotels with the solutions designed by the brand in each key segment your hotel serves
• Directly accountable for the Group Corporate and Local Negotiated revenues
• Work with Area Director of Sales & Commercial Leadership to ensure that Business Review Guidelines (current to 5 years) and Group Pricing & Rate Quotation Strategies are in place to maximize all pricing components of sales and catering opportunities and achieve positive group market share
• Work with Area Director of Sales & Commercial Leadership to set the strategy and establish optimal business mix to include: group rooms, banquets, catering, business transient and leisure transient
• Review and validate revenue forecasts to improve accuracy while developing strategies for different demand periods, and review and approve retail and group pricing strategies
• Work with fellow Executive Committee members to ensure profits are maximized in line with GOP (Gross Operating Profit) and EBITDA targets
• Assist in developing and executing departmental expense budget and forecasts in partnership with the Area Director of Sales
• Develop and maintain detailed and real time knowledge of all competitor and market activity
• Contribute to annual Commercial Cadence communication regarding current realities of performance and performance drivers on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis
• Consistently conform to brand standards and corporate identity and utilize all communication tools
• Lead, engage, and develop team members, including ongoing performance development and Career Development Plans
• Conduct performance review for all direct reports and provide feedback for dotted line reports
• Facilitate and lead in a culture that is aligned with Hospitality America’s core values, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and ESG (Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance) enterprise goals
• Own performance and commercial activity reporting for your Area (i.e., performance status communication and response plans)
• Build strong relationships with CVB (Convention Visitors Bureau), community influencers, local corporate companies and 3rd party travel partners

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 5 years of hotel sales experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Knowledge of Hilton Systems, OnQ, PEP and Delphi a plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to cultivate a productive team that embodies PEACH.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where priorities are constantly changing.
• Ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours.
